Volunteer Opportunities
Packers
We currently need people to help pack bags for delivery on Mondays and/or Tuesdays from about 8–10am.
Food Delivery Drivers
We need both regular and substitute volunteer delivery drivers.
We deliver food Monday through Thursday each week. Deliveries begin at 10am and usually take about 45–60 minutes, depending on your vehicle (and how many bags you can fit).
The average delivery route has 10 stops, but some have fewer. Some of our volunteers deliver during their lunch hours, while others are retired and can deliver to more than one route.
Delivery Schedule Coordinator
We need a Delivery Schedule Coordinator to keep track of weekly volunteer availability, line up substitute drivers, and maintain and update delivery routes. This position involves listening to the pantry phone line each day, returning phone calls, and adding new stops to delivery routes (which are maintained in an Excel spreadsheet).
Additional Administrative Tasks
We need someone to carefully monitor and track in-kind donations in a systematic way.
There is a need for other administrative help, as well.
