Early Education & Child Development: Head Start/REACH
The Berkshire Head Start Resources to Empower and Advocate for Children & Households (REACH) program addresses the longstanding economic disparities for families adversely affected by racial inequity and generational poverty by providing access to affordable childcare, dedicated family support, community resources, and health/wellness partners.

CHP Mobile Health Clinics offer free health screenings, health education, and enrollment for MassHealth, SNAP (formerly food stamps), and the WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) nutrition program.

Substance Use/Recovery & Behavioral Health Services: The Brien Center
The Brien Center is Berkshire County’s largest provider of behavioral health and addiction services. We employ almost 500 dedicated, compassionate people who work at 25 locations county-wide. Our impact is experienced and appreciated by nearly 10,000 individuals — whose lives are saved, whose illnesses are successfully treated, and who continue on as successful members of our community.
The Brien Center visits our food pantry to provide resources and services related to mental health, substance use and recovery, and behavioral health urgent care.

Berkshire Center for Justice helps Berkshire County residents who are experiencing very real barriers to access the civil legal counsel they need and deserve by holding weekly free legal clinics, providing sliding scale direct legal services, teaching clients how to self advocate where appropriate in the legal system, offering community education programs, conducting interviews, and speaking publicly about the ways law and social issues interface.
Wellness Clinic: City of Pittsfield Health Department
Free wellness checks & referrals to other services.
The City of Pittsfield Health Department provides health evaluations, medication review, nutrition and disease management counseling, referrals to local physicians and parent/child health services.
Additionally, they provide information and assistance with housing/rent, food, utilities, mental health support, substance use treatment/support, childcare needs, unemployment assistance, health insurance, and domestic and intimate partner violence support. Spanish interpreters are available.

ParentChild+’s mission is to ensure that all children regardless of their race, socio-economic status, or zip code have equal possibilities from the start. They work with families, caregivers, and communities to support not only early literacy and school readiness, but early opportunities.

Full Well Farm
Full Well Farm is a non-certified organic, no-till farm in Adams that grows vegetables, herbs, and flowers for CSA, the North Adams Farmers Market, and DIY flower events.
Subsidies for local vegetable shares. SNAP/HIP accepted!
